To be a meeting point for international and Ugandan birders to discover birds and other natural wonders of Uganda by working together as friends.
To encourage members, especially younger people, mainly bird lovers, to learn about ornithology, identification and the conservation of our birds through monthly field excursions, outing meetings and the Uganda Bird Society magazine.• To work together with international and local partners and friends of conservation of birds and to be an advocate for the protection of birds and their habitats in Uganda.
To record and study birds in Uganda, both directly in collaboration with other national conservation organizations with a common goal.
To help promote nature conservation through the dissemination of information in the form of newsletters, books and social media together with our both foreign and Ugandan friends.
