The Avian Conservation Uganda Society aims to have a broad-based membership of both local
and international individuals and corporate organizations.
The criteria for membership shall be subscription-based annually from members of the public
and legal registered business, groups and organizations. There shall have 4 different
membership levels for individuals and corporate memberships for companies, organizations,
associations and agencies from both private and public sectors.
Junior membership:
a) Eligibility:
i. Be between the ages of 5-18
b) Annual Subscription: $5 (UGX 15,000)
c) Benefits:
i. Membership certificate and Avian Conservation Uganda Society pin
ii. Regular invites to excursions, conferences, webinars and other events of the Avian Conservation Uganda Society
Student membership:
a) Eligibility:
i. Be a student between 18-23 enrolled in a learning institution.
b) Annual Subscription: $8 (UGX 25,000)
c) Benefits:
i. Membership certificate and Avian Conservation Uganda Society pin
ii. Regular invites to excursions, conferences, webinars and other events of the
Avian Conservation Uganda Society
Supporter membership:
a) Eligibility:
i. Any member of the public with good conduct
b) Annual Subscription: $10 (UGX 35,000)
c) Benefits:
i. Membership certificate and Avian Conservation Uganda Society pin
ii. Regular invites to excursions, conferences, webinars and other events of the
Avian Conservation Uganda Society
Conserver membership:
a) Eligibility:
i. Any member of the public with good conduct.
b) Annual Subscription: $30 (UGX 110,000)
c) Benefits:
i. Membership certificate and Avian Conservation Uganda Society pin
ii. Regular invites to excursions, conferences, webinars and other events of the
Avian Conservation Uganda Society
iii. Social media mentions and website recognition
iv. Receiving society reports and newsletters
v. Eligible to receive Avian Conservation Uganda Society goodies, equipment,
training and orientations when available
Corporate membership:
a) Eligibility:
i. Be a legally registered company, business, organization, agency, association or
any other public sector or private sector group.
b) Annual Subscription: $100 (UGX 375,000)
c) Benefits:
i. Certificate of membership
ii. Social media and website recognition and display of brands
iii. Free attendance and regular invitations to events organized by the Avian Conservation Uganda Society
iv. Entitled to receive reports, newsletters and magazines of the Avian Conservation Uganda Society
Unlike the majority of societies, who normally work on subscriptions running only for the calendar year regardless of when subscriptions are received, new members will enjoy at least 360 days of membership from the date of their payment. Your membership renewal date will then be on the first day of the month following the month in which you joined
